The Orillia Opera House Summer Theatre Experience: The OOH!

We pronounce it “Oh” as in Oh, What a Season!

Last year, thousands of audience members brought Orillia alive with great professional theatre at the iconic Orillia Opera House.

This Season promises to be another wonderful romp, with three great shows and some exciting holiday season programming, starting with Neil Simon’s classic Barefoot in the Park running from July 5 to 21. Then newly-minted Order of Canada recipient — and Canada’s most produced playwright — Norm Foster’s comedy Bedtime Stories will delight audiences from July 26 to August 11. We round out the season with an hilarious cottage country story in Weekend Comedy by Jeanne Bobrick and Sam Bobrick from August 16 to September 1.

Orillia is on the doorstep is North of the GTA en route to Muskoka. Nestled between two glorious lakes and with a charming downtown, Orillia is a perfect summer setting. Known as the Sunshine City, Orillia is the home of the Leacock Museum, celebrating Canadian humourist Stephen Leacock, whose summer home in Brewery Bay is a lovely place to stroll after a matinee or before an evening show at the Orillia Opera House!
